Berocca contains negligible calories:

Berocca® Energy and Berocca® Boost products each contain approximately 6-8 kcal per tablet.
Berocca® Sport contains less than 10 calories per sachet.
Berocca® GO contains 37-41 kJ (8-10 kcal) per serving.
Berocca® Immune Daily Defence contains 2kcal per tablet.
Berocca® Hydrate contains 6kcal per tablet (dose is 2 tablets).
Berocca® Mind contains 8kcal per tablet (effervescent).
Berocca® Mind film coated tablet contains 0.1kcal per tablet.

Berocca® Energy Effervescent Original Berry, Orange and Mango & Orange tastes different now. Did you change the flavour and, if so, why?

We have made several small changes to Berocca® Energy. The most notable is the replacement of Aspartame with Sucralose and the removal of artificial colours. This may result in a small difference in the taste.

Can I take more than one tablet a day?

The recommended daily intake for:

Berocca® Energy, Berocca® Boost, Berocca® Immune Daily Defence or Berocca® Mind is maximum one tablet per day.
Berocca® Sport is one sachet per day.
Berocca® Hydrate is 2 effervescent tablets per day.
Berocca® GO is maximum 2 cans per day.

Berocca® is suitable and recommended for daily use.

Can I take different Berocca® products together?

Berocca® products should not be taken together. Berocca® products are designed to be taken on their own based on the quantities of various vitamins and minerals in each formulation.

How do you take Berocca®?

Berocca® Energy, Berocca® Boost, Berocca® Immune Daily Defence or Berocca® Mind effervescent tablets: add 1 effervescent tablet to a glass or bottle of water and let it fizz and dissolve for a great tasting and refreshing drink. Maximum once per day.

Berocca® Hydrate: drop 2 effervescent tablets to a 200mL glass of water, let it fizz and dissolve for a great tasting and refreshing drink.

Berocca® Orange and Original Berry are also available in a handy Twist'N'Go format for a great tasting drink that you can take on the go with you!

Berocca® Sport: Add one sachet into a water bottle or glass, leave it to dissolve and drink on your workout.

Are there any safety issues associated with taking Berocca®?

We are not aware of any safety issues specific to any of the Berocca® formulations.

Berocca® Energy

Each Berocca® Energy tablet contains anywhere between 271- 273mg of sodium.
Berocca® Energy Raspberry Blackcurrant contains tabletting aids, artificial sweeteners, colours and flavouring.
Berocca® Energy Original Berry, Orange, Mango & Orange, Pinelime Crush and Raspberry Blackcurrant effervescent tablets contain sucralose.
Berocca Boost contains sulfites.

Berocca® Boost

Berocca® Boost contains 341mg sodium per tablet, which should be taken into account by those on a low sodium diet.
Berocca® Boost contains tabletting aids, artificial sweeteners, colours and flavouring.
Berocca® Boost contains aspartame. Phenylketonurics are warned that these products contain phenylalanine (from aspartame).
Berocca® Boost contains sulfites.
Berocca® Boost is indicated for adults only. It contains 75 mg total caffeine per tablet. A cup of instant coffee contains approximately 80 mg of caffeine. Caffeine intake more than 200 mg per day is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Limit the use of caffeine containing products (including tea and coffee) when taking this product. Caffeine interacts with enzyme CYP1A2 in the liver. Consult your health professional before taking with other medicines.

Berocca® Immune Daily Defence

Berocca® Immune Daily Defence contain sulfites and sucralose. Also contains tabletting aids, colours, flavours and artificial sweeteners. Berocca® Immune Daily Defence tablets contain 322-324 mg sodium.
Berocca® Immune Daily Defence tablets effervescent tablets are suitable for adults and children 12 years and over.

Berocca® Mind

Berocca® Mind Effervescent tablets contain sulfites and sucralose. Also contains tabletting aids, artificial sweeteners and flavours. Berocca® Mind Citrus Effervescent tablets have no added colour. Berocca® Mind film coated tablets contain no flavour. Berocca® Mind effervescent tablets contain 284 mg sodium. Berocca® Mind film coated tablets contain 0.13mg sodium.
Berocca® Mind is indicated for adults 18 years and over only.

Berocca® GO

Berocca® GO is not recommended for - pregnant or lactating women, children or those sensitive to caffeine or
- People with known hypersensitivity to any component of the product
- In combination with ephedrine, ephedra or other stimulants
- Subjects with moderate to severe hypertension and cardiac arrhythmias.

Berocca® Sport

Berocca® Sport contains sorbitol, ﬂavour, sweetener (950), and colours (red beet powder, 101)

Berocca® Hydrate

Berocca® Hydrate orange effervescent tablets contain sulfites, sugars, soya bean products, colours, flavours and tabletting aids. Berocca® Hydrate raspberry blackcurrant effervescent tablets contain sulfites, sugars, colours, flavours and tabletting aids.
Berocca® Hydrate contains sucralose as an artificial sweetener. Contains 322 mg sodium per 200mL dose. Contains 196 mg potassium per 200mL dose. If you have kidney disease or are taking heart or blood pressure medicines - consult your doctor or pharmacist before use.
Berocca® Hydrate tablets effervescent tablets are suitable for adults and children 12 years and over.

Vitamin and mineral supplements should not replace a balanced diet. Please consult with your healthcare professional before taking Berocca® if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Why does Berocca® make my urine change colour?

Berocca® Energy products and Berocca® Boost contain vitamin B2 (riboflavin). Like all B vitamins, B2 is water-soluble so your body takes what it needs and discards the rest. The presence of vitamin B2 in your urine can result in a more intense colour. This is not a cause for any concern.

Can I use Berocca® during pregnancy/whilst breastfeeding?

Berocca® is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women. This is due to the complex nutritional needs of pregnant and breastfeeding women and Berocca® has not been specifically formulated for use as a pre/post-natal supplement. We recommend that you talk to your healthcare professional about vitamin and mineral supplements.

Is Berocca® suitable for children?

Berocca Energy, Berocca® Immune Daily Defence, Berocca® Hydrate and Berocca® Sport are suitable for adults and children 12 years and over.
Berocca® Boost and Berocca® Mind are only suitable for adults 18 years and over.
Berocca® GO is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women, children or those sensitive to caffeine.

Does Berocca® contain aspartame?

Berocca® Boost contains aspartame. Phenylketonurics are warned that these products contain phenylalanine.

Always read the label. Aspartame is permitted as a sweetener by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA}. However, if you would prefer to enjoy Berocca products formulated without aspartame, then we suggest you try Berocca® Original Berry, Orange, Mango & Orange or Pinelime Crush flavour effervescent tablets. The Berocca® Immune Daily Defence and Berocca Mind Effervescent range are also formulated without aspartame.

All ingredients in our products, including sweeteners, are tightly regulated and their safety has been rigorously assessed.

Does Berocca® contain caffeine?

Berocca® Energy, Berocca® Immune Daily Defence, Berocca® Mind, Berocca® Hydrate and Berocca® Sport products do not contain caffeine.

Berocca® GO contains 69mg of caffeine per serve (with caffeine from green coffee beans).

Berocca® Boost effervescent tablets contain caffeine and guarana. Caffeine helps improve alertness and concentration. These products contain 75mg total caffeine per tablet. A cup of instant coffee contains approximately 80 mg of caffeine. Caffeine intake more than 200 mg per day is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Does Berocca® contain salt?

The sodium in Berocca®'s effervescent tablets comes mainly in the form of sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate which are used to create the well-known "Berocca® fizz". These ingredients are used in almost all effervescent tablets. Sodium bicarbonate is also commonly used as a raising ingredient in baking and is also known as "baking soda" or "bread soda".

Berocca® Energy effervescent tablets each contain 271-273 mg of sodium.
Berocca® Boost contains 341mg sodium per effervescent tablet.
Berocca® Immune Daily Defence effervescent tablets contain 322-324 mg sodium.
Berocca® Mind effervescent tablets contain 284 mg sodium.

The recommended daily intake for Berocca® Energy, Berocca® Immune Daily Defence and Berocca® Mind is maximum one effervescent tablet per day. Berocca® Mind Film Coated Tablets are recommended to be taken one tablet per day.

Berocca® Sport contains 0.2mg of sodium per sachet. The recommended daily intake for Berocca® Sport is one sachet per day.
Berocca® Hydrate effervescent tablets contain 322 mg sodium per 200ml dose. The recommended daily intake for Berocca® Hydrate is 2 effervescent tablets per day.
Berocca® GO contains 148 mg sodium per serving.
Berocca® GO is maximum 2 cans per day.
